Input Media

 

Our pre-press is Mac-based and we prefer Quark Xpress documents with graphic elements created in Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand and/or Adobe Photoshop.

In addition, we can work with files created in Adobe Pagemaker, Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word. We also have the ability to work with other files, including those generated on a PC-platform in less widespread software packages. These have a tendency to be less straightforward so please phone our repro department on 01256 892969 to discuss.

We have the ability to use PDF files created in any package; again, these files only work well when saved in the correct manner, so pay particular attention to our PRE-PRESS PREPARATION section, or phone us on 01256 892969 for advice.

There are many ways to get your work on to our network of computers, and all of you will have at least one of the following digital media (in order of most prevalent):

 

  • CD Up to 650Mb
  • Zip Cartridge Up to 200Mb
  • Jaz Cartridge Up to 2Gb
  • Floppy Disk Up to 1.4Mb
  • 3.5" Optical Disk Up tp 140Mb
  • 5.25" Optical Disk Up to 650 Mb
  • Syquest Cartridge Up to 200Mb
